Sutton School of Gymnastics offers squad gymnastic training sessions for students across Surrey and South London from 4 hours a week to 20+ hours a week in a range of gymnastics disciplines.

Competition squads

At Sutton School of Gymnastics, we have various gymnastic squads. Each member of these squads are selected through assessment or invitation. For current members of our club, constant evaluation by coaches is held to see if any gymnasts are developing well enough to be invited into a squad. For more details, you can get in touch with our team. We also welcome calls from existing squad gymnasts who are interested in joining our highly successful gymnastics club.

Floor and Vault

Our highly successful Floor and Vault squads competed at a variety of Invitational and Regional competitions. Gymnasts are regularly qualifying to compete at the Regional Finals within London. Floor & Vault Gymnasts train for 4.5 hours a week.

Women’s Artistic

Artistic girls train and compete on four pieces of apparatus; floor, beam, bars and vault. Our artistic squad gymnasts compete at club, regional and at national levels, and at a variety of competitions, including NDP Grades, Regional Levels Championships and Invitational Competitions. The girls are expected to train for a minimum of three sessions per week plus at least one weekend session dependent on ability.

Men’s Artistic

The boys train on all six pieces of apparatus; floor, vault, high bar, rings, parallel bars and pommel horse. Currently competing at Regional and National competitions including the London Open Competition, and NDP Grades, where we regularly have gymnasts representing London at National Finals.

Entry to squads is by invitation or assessment only. To arrange an assessment, please phone our reception on 020 8640 2668. Gymnasts who wish to join us from another club need to book an assessment session for us to see which squad would be most suitable for their ability.
