Joining the club

To join our club, please phone or email our reception team who will arrange a class suitable to the age and ability of your child, or alternatively use the online form to request a phone call back. If the class you require is full, we will place your child on a waiting list for the next available space.

Sutton School of Gymnastics is registered with British Gymnastics and affiliated to London Gymnastics. All gymnasts will need to be registered with both organisations for which there is an annual fee renewable on 1st October.

Affordable fees

Class fees are due on or before the 16th of each month for the consecutive month. Payment of fees can be made by cash, BACS or direct debit. We also accept credit/debit cards. Once you have booked your child’s sessions, we will email you confirmation and information on how to set up payment.

If your child no longer wants their place in the club, notice to leave must be given by the 15th of the month to finish at the end of the following month. This is to allow sufficient time to contact someone on the waiting list. If you are up to date with payments, no more payments would be required when you have given notice.

We are registered with British Gymnastics and London Gymnastics. British Gymnastics requires that all gymnasts also register as individual members of British Gymnastics. We also affiliate to London Gymnastics. This, along with the annual membership fee will be explained fully upon joining the club.

T-shirts and shorts/jogging bottoms

Club Uniform

All general and transition gymnast are required to wear the club uniform leotard for training. These leotards can only be purchased from reception, new members will have one month before we ask for the leotard to be purchased.

After discussions and feedback from parents, we have decided to change our uniform policy. Whilst the uniform leotard for girls and leotard and shorts for boys remains compulsory, we are now allowing girls to wear gymnastics shorties if they wish to do so. These are completely optional and purely based on whether the gymnast wishes to wear them or not.

We have matching shorties for the girls leotards which can be purchased from reception, however you can purchase shorties from elsewhere if you wish.
The shorties must be plain black material but can be either be lycra or velour, and they can have a small motif or design.

In the winter, we will continue to allow gymnasts to wear additional layers as the weather and temperature changes.
