Coronavirus update
As of 17th January 2022, the government has removed the mandatory use of face coverings, however they continue to advise the use of face coverings in busy and enclosed areas. Due to this, face coverings will not be mandatory within the building, however we strongly encourage the use of face coverings within the waiting rooms and corridors. Please see the below information to keep up to date with our latest policy.

Face coverings within the building:
In line with the government guidelines, we strongly encourage everyone of secondary school age or older to wear a face covering within the building at all times unless they are exempt. This includes in the waiting rooms, corridors and toilets. Gymnasts can leave their face coverings in reception when their class is called to line up, or they can wear them to their class if they wish. Due to the associated risks, no face coverings will be worn by gymnasts during their training.

As there is no restriction to social distancing, you are allowed back into the building to watch your child’s class, however due to limited space, we recommend that you do not arrive more than 10 minutes early to help prevent over crowding.

In line with government guidance, we will have all the windows open to help ventilation, and there will be hand sanitiser available for use.

Contact Isolation:
With the latest government update, anyone who is a contact of a positive case, between the ages of 5 years and 18 years and 6 months, or is over 18 and double vaccinated are still welcome to attend their class, but are strongly advised to test daily for seven days using Lateral Flow Tests (LFT). If anyone tests positive on a LFT, they should not attend their gymnastics class and have a PCR test for confirmation.

If you are over 18 and 6 months and not double vaccinated, then you will need to self isolate for 10 days and not attend Sutton School of Gymnastics.
If you are over 18 and 6 months, and not able to get vaccinated for medical reasons then you can still attend.

Whilst we do our best to notify any contacts, we rely on parents informing us of any children who test positive. If your child does test positive on a PCR test, please let us know so we can notify any other children.

Covid Symptoms:
Please do not attend your session if you have suspected Covid symptoms.

Please do not attend your class if you have shown any symptoms listed by the NHS, have tested positive on a Covid test, or you require to isolate as a contact. Keeping any cases of Coronavirus out of the gym is the most effective way of preventing transmission, and so by attending, you are disclaiming that to the best of your knowledge, you should not be isolating as specified by the UK Government.

Symptoms include:
• A high temperature
• A new, continuous cough
• A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste

The class times have returned to their full length, and so classes will be starting promptly at the correct time and will be brought back back to the reception area for collection at the end of their session.

Cleaning:
To help keep your children safe, we have increased our cleaning procedures and implemented some additional cleaning measures to help prevent any transmission of the virus. We are cleaning equipment throughout the sessions, and then doing a daily clean of each gym and area used. At the end of the week, we will be doing a deep clean of the whole building. Some of the extra cleaning measures we have invested in include, sterilizing sprays which we can safely spray over equipment and leave to dry, and ultraviolet lights which can sterilize harder to clean areas. All of these are either safe to use around children or will not be used whilst there is anyone in the building and will be safe to use immediately again afterwards.

During the sessions there will be increased hand washing and use of hand sanitiser, if you wish to provide your child with your own hand sanitiser, you are more than welcome to, and they will keep this with them and can apply it when required. If a child brings in their own sanitiser, it will be used only by themselves and will not be allowed to be shared.

Payments:
Due to our effort to reduce transmission, we are now going cashless for the foreseeable future except for our tuck shop.
Our preferred method for all payments is by bank transfer.

For any payments, our bank details are:
Bank: HSBC
Account number: 21035940
Sort code: 40-17-07

Privacy Policy:
We have updated our privacy policy, as due to the government and NHS test and trace, we may need to share registers of everyone that has been into the building on certain days if requested. This information would only be shared with the relevant authorities if required. The updated privacy policy can be seen on our Contact page.
